Loving Adults
It would appear that Christian and Leonora have accomplished everything they set out to do. They are currently enjoying the best years of their lives with their child, who was just diagnosed as being free of a terrible and protracted disease. Their future appears to be bright, but Leonora overhears her husband talking to a younger lady, an architect named Xenia, at a party hosted by Christian's company. Leonora has the dawning realization that Christian may abandon her. On the spot, Leonora comes to a conclusion: she is not going to let herself be the lady who is left behind, and she is going to do whatever it takes to prevent this from happening.
