It was initially produced by Telepictures Productions and Warner Bros. Television Distribution at Victory Studios in Glendale, California. It was distributed from 1995 to 2003 by Time-Telepictures Television, a joint venture between Time Magazine and Telepictures. Additionally, Extra has a spinoff titled Celebrity Justice, which ran for only three seasons between 2002 and 2005. The Ellen DeGeneres Show is the other Warner Bros. Television program syndicated to NBCUniversal television stations. Additionally, Extra is one of two entertainment programs on WBTV, the other being TMZ on TV.
